The Municipality is located along the Great Dyke which is rich in mineral deposits ranging from iron ore, limestone, nickel,chrome and gold among others. These minerals present investment opportunities in the mining and manufacturing sectors with the thrust being the need to process the raw material locally.
The home of iron and steel giant, Ziscosteel Pvt Ltd, the Municipality, remains hopeful that the company will be resuscitated and also that other industrial activities than can be accommodated in Redcliff, can be identified.
