The day, which falls every 8 March, brought together key stakeholders in women and girls Empowerment from Kwekwe administrative district, including Municipality of Redcliff. Local Authorities play a critical role in women and girls Empowerment through provisikn of services at grassroot level. The commemorations also ran concurrently with International Familys Day commemorations which falls every May 15.
